Additional Information

Purpose

As a member of the Reporting, Analytics, and Data Team, this position will participate in the creation, assessment, and deployment of business intelligence solutions in support of the mission of identifying prospects and cultivating philanthropic behavior from within its constituent base and the broader community.

Essential Functions

Develop and deliver reporting and analytics solutions designed to translate data into actionable business intelligence. Consult with partners to determine reporting needs and define reporting solutions to meet requirements. Design and build KPI dashboards and other reporting solutions. Cultivate and maintain expertise on alumni, donor, and other relevant data. Conduct further quantitative and qualitative analyses on a broad array of issues to inform strategic decision making as assigned.

Required qualifications

Advanced knowledge and experience in extracting data from relational databases. Strong working knowledge of SQL. Experience in one or more data visualization or reporting tool such as Tableau, Power BI, Crystal Reports, or Cognos. Desire and ability to learn new reporting technologies. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to build and maintain cross functional relationships. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Strong independent work ethic. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in computer or information science, mathematics, social and political sciences, or a related field. Strong working knowledge of Tableau. Strong working knowledge of reporting best practices. Three to four years of experience with dashboard design and deployment. Two to three years of experience in higher education development/advancement.
