Responsible for developing and applying collection assessment strategies that inform and advance the UTL agenda.

Essential Functions

Coordinates the collection, analysis, and documentation of assessment data for print and electronic collections. Develops assessment strategies for key content acquisition models, including but not limited to e-resource packages and demand-driven, evidence-based programs, interlibrary loan, and open scholarship. Uses data visualization tools such as Tableau to communicate assessment results. Makes data-driven recommendations to guide collections-related decisions. Works closely with Head of Assessment on departmental projects including quantitative and qualitative analysis. Serves on Libraries and University committees and working groups, and participates in local, state and/or national professional organizations.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 3 years experience in applicable field. Demonstrated understanding of applied quantitative and qualitative assessment methodologies. Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage complex workflows. Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in a fast-paced and evolving technological, team-oriented and change-ready environment. Demonstrated willingness to respond to opportunities with initiative, creative energy, and leadership. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree. Knowledge and understanding of key issues and trends that affect academic libraries and higher education. Demonstrated experience with online resource licensing. Demonstrated expertise in relevant software applications, including Excel and statistical analysis software. Experience using data visualization tools and techniques to communicate assessment results. Experience with Millennium and Sierra integrated library system. Experience in project management, data analysis, and formulating recommendations for improvement. Demonstrated potential for leadership in university, state, national, and international programs and initiatives. Experience working appropriately with sensitive and confidential materials and situations. Experience with multiple communication tools and their effectiveness in different situations. Demonstrated experience with relationship building, internally and externally.
