To provide temporary staffing support to the department, and assist with routine or special projects relating to departmental operations. Strong knowledge of Excel is required.

Essential Functions

Maintain databases and files utilizing advanced MS Excel Skills, including preparation of linked spreadsheets, importing/exporting tables and graphs and setting up formulas. Prepare and edit correspondence and presentations. Maintain calendars utilizing MS Outlook scheduling, including scheduling meetings. Open, sort, and distribute mail. Receive, screen, and route calls. Other duties as assigned.

Other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree and one year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level, or high school graduation or GED, and five years of clerical experience, including one year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level. Position requires heavy use and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, thus candidate should have at least intermediate skills in each of these three programs. High level of professionalism required. Candidate should have strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, and file navigation/management skills, and be detail oriented. Candidate should also be able to follow directions well.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Adobe Professional and Microsoft SharePoint. Scores of 90 or above preferred for Word, Excel and Outlook.
