Additional Information


To assist the Administrative Manager with administrative support and student services for the College of Natural Sciences Student Division.

Essential Functions

Provide an enhanced customer service experience to all visitors of the CNS Student Division, with a primary focus on aiding students. Oversee processing of University and College forms. Provide resources and College information to current and prospective students, parents, staff and faculty. Maintain advisors' calendars and check students in for appointments. Assist with the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of student assistants. Assist with logistics and coordination of summer orientation, Gone to Natural Sciences, and other events. Coordinate food and supplies for Cornerstones seminars. Oversee scheduling and maintaining conference rooms. Support Administrative Manager with financial tracking and other administrative tasks, as needed. Attend meetings and trainings.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree and one year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level; or high school graduation or GED and five years of clerical experience. Professional demeanor. Ability to communicate effectively with all constituents. Comfortable working in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Two or more years experience at UT or other university setting providing student services. Experience processing student records, knowledge of Advisor Toolkit, NRRECS, and EASI. Experience working directly with student populations.
