Purpose

The primary role will be to assist customers in ensuring that their systems are secure and meet all regulatory guidance. In addition, will develop automated testing suites for web based systems.

Essential Functions

Support the information security program under the direction of senior staff. Providing information security assistance to developers. Participates in business processes analyses under the direction of senior staff to identify appropriate information security practices and standards to reduce risk. Assesses security procedures including identity management to determine compliance with appropriate regulations. Participates in quantitative and qualitative information risk and vulnerability assessments to identify deficiencies in security. Drafts remediation plans. May participates in security incident responses, investigations, and reporting as a team member. Assists with security administration and implementation. Keeps abreast of professional trends in information security. Works with the Quality Assurance team developing automated test for assigned systems. Occasional travel to training and testing sites.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer and information science with a focus on Information Security. Experience using distributed version control and project management systems in a team environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Understanding of US Army Family Support web services and environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with both non-technical and technical users. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team and independently. Must be a US citizen. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Evidence of strong Java and Javascript programming and CSS-HTML design skills. Experience working with AngularJS, Node.js, Apache Maven, Git, Selenium, Serenity:formerly Thucydides, and JBehave. Experience building automated testing software with listed technologies. Experience working with virtualization a plus. Also has working knowledge of Army web applications such as Army One Source AOS, electronic Exceptional Family Member Program eEFMP, and VMIS. Strong C, C++, and Python programming skills. INFOSEC Certification. Thorough knowledge of Unix and Unix-like systems.
