To create and deploy analytic solutions in support of Texas Development's objectives to identify major gift prospects and cultivate philanthropic gifts from its constituent base and the broader community; develop actionable business intelligence and analytic solutions in support of Dell Medical School.

Essential Functions

Develop and deliver analytics and reporting solutions designed to translate data analysis and strategy into actionable business intelligence to identify future donor prospects. Perform data mining, data insights projects and ad doc queries to support future donor prospecting strategies. Perform statistical analysis and data profiling to gain key insights to guide prospecting strategies. Identify data from internal databases and external data sources in support of medical and health analytics prospecting. Design statistical analysis initiatives and implement predictive models to identify best likely donors with capacity and affinity for medicine and the health sciences. Develop and implement prospecting strategies using medical and health related data sources. Effectively present updates and key prospecting data insights. Implement data segmentation and prospecting strategies. Develop recommendations to interpret, understand, and leverage predictive data model scoring for future donor prospecting. Cultivate and grow expertise on alumni, donor, patient, and relevant healthcare data.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in computer or information science, mathematics, social and political sciences, or a related field. Two years of directly related higher education prospecting experience. Three years of experience in business management systems. One year of experience working with a data base software system. One year of experience as an experienced programmer. Advanced knowledge and experience in extracting data from relational databases. Strong working knowledge of SQL. Experience with programming for statistics through a software package or language such as SAS, SPSS, Python, or R. A strong understanding of general linear modeling and other advanced predictive modeling techniques (random forest classification, Monte Carlo simulations, etc.) Experience in one or more data management, visualization, or analytics software tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Desire and ability to learn new reporting technologies. Ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships. Strong independent work ethic. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in computer or information science, mathematics, social and political sciences, or a related field. Experience in grateful patient fundraising analytics and programs. Familiarity with HIPPA regulations and experience handling sensitive healthcare data. Experience with dashboard design and deployment using Tableau. Experience with machine learning. Two years of directly related health sciences prospecting experience.
