Purpose

Lead development of the intellectual capital of the program offerings through the delivery of content, the research into and assessment of effective leadership development programs, and outreach with the external business community to foster both student learning and faculty research.

Essential Functions

Build the brand and reputation of the Center. Website redesign and execution, coordinating the publication of regular, original content for website, print, and online outlets; coordinating filming/editing of interviews with guest speakers (in-class or extra-curricular session) for use on website; and coordinating publicity efforts with Communications; coordinating translation of research publications into Center-generated content and communications. Develop and teach curricular and co-curricular course material related to the CLE's vision to undergraduate and graduate students. Coordinate with MBA and BBA Program Offices as needed. Establish and maintain Advisory Board. Serve as Center liaison to the McCombs Development, Texas Executive Education, and External Relations office and assist with fundraising efforts. Establish partnerships with organizations for applied research projects. Develop and manage conferences, events, and speaker series that enhance the reputation of the Center and increase educational opportunities for students, alumni, and others. In coordination with Faculty Director, develop and maintain a schedule of educational and outreach activities and deliverables. Coordinate with MBA and BBA Program Offices as needed. Research, develop, implement, and evaluate Center programs. Collect and analyze data. Translate research products into reports, presentations, and documents for dissemination to various audiences. In coordination with Faculty Director, develop and maintain a schedule of educational and outreach activities and deliverables for organizations in the Austin community and beyond. Responsible for business operations of the Center for Leadership and Ethics. Collaborates with Faculty Directors on annual budget. Submit financial, travel, and compliance-related documents.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications

Masters Degree. Extensive experience designing and executing leadership development, talent management or related programs. Experience in marketing, branding and fundraising. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to prepare research publications. Proficient in budget management. Professional demeanor. Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. or Masters Degree in areas related to leadership or leadership development (e.g., Management, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, etc.). Experience evaluating programs. Experience teaching topics related to leadership and leadership development in professional or higher educational settings. Experience marketing, branding, fundraising and managing events. Familiarity with working and conducting research in a university environment. Skills and training in communications, including writing for publications. Knowledge of financial processes at the University of Texas at Austin.
