Provide administrative and project support for the CNS IT Director's office.

Essential Functions

Provide project coordination and communication for the Executive Director of IT by preparing meeting agendas, facilitating meetings, and creating documentation to track and monitor projects. Create reports, correspondence, travel arrangements, and assist as needed to enable the Executive Director to fulfill the duties of the IT Office. Coordinate IT-related workflows pertaining to the physical moves of faculty, staff and administrators. This includes leading weekly meetings with representatives from IT and Facilities units to discuss logistics involving IT components; serve as the primary contact person within CNS IT for all moves involving CNS faculty and staff; prepare reports and documents related to moves; track progress of moves through completion; maintain timely communication with all parties involved for IT tasks. Manage tasks and workflows pertaining to student assignments by acting as liaison between IT managers and the Dean's Office. Maintain and update checklists for new and separating staff; meet with new hires to complete online forms and verify documentation for IT needs. Supervise one inventory supervisor and one or more student employees depending on project needs. Serve as backup for purchasing orders, payment requests, office supply orders, PointPlus documents, reimbursements, official event requests, ProCard statements and IDTs.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three years of clerical experience. Proficiency with computers. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to relay technical information to a non-technical audience and to communicate effectively with various constituents of UT: faculty, staff, students and vendors. Prior experience in a customer service role. Demonstrated successful project coordination experience. Understanding of general accounting and HR principles; administrative procedures. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Professional demeanor and history of regular and punctual attendance. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

More than the required qualifications. Experience working in higher education environment. Familiarity with University of Texas administrative procedures. Comfortable working in a technical environment and experience with technical terminology.
