Serve as the University Development Office front desk associate and be responsible for managing and coordinating development-related customer service and operational administrative projects for the University Development Office.

Essential Functions

Performs all front desk operations functions, including answering multi-line phone, routing accurate and timely messages, greeting visitors, providing parking passes, and coordinating front desk relief staff. Performs office operations functions, including daily mail distribution, office supply and beverage orders. Assist in completing reimbursements for imbedded gift officers, donor relations and operations teams. Assists with facilities administration and maintenance functions, including service requests and work order processing. Coordinates surplus pick-ups for all development-related buildings. Provides effective customer service and follow-up to employees regarding facilities and office operations questions. Update donor records, activity/involvement codes, and event RSVPs in the university's donor database. Process gifts; work with Gift and Data Services closely to generate receipts and resolve gift-related issues for donors.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree. A combination of one year of experience assisting with fundraising programs or performing complex administrative functions. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Professional demeanor and ability to interface effectively with a wide variety of staff, faculty, donors, and vendors. Experience working with sensitive information. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and resourcefulness. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Experience working in a diverse environment, maintaining customer focus, and implementing continuous quality improvements. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

More than one year of administrative experience or working in a customer service position. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office. Some experience with accounting.
