This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position, but a request by the employee to reduce the hours to 32 per week, with the salary adjusted proportionally, would be considered. The job may be extended beyond 10/31/2019 depending on business needs.

Participate in database creation, management, analysis, and other related support for a five-year, 4.3 million dollar multi-site evaluation study of audience-building efforts among performing arts organizations, including an assessment of changes in audience over time.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities include but are not limited to development, coordination, utilization, maintenance, and analysis of multiple databases, and documentation of procedures. This includes such tasks as creating new databases from raw data, data base cleaning, coding and variable construction, documenting database contents, merging multiple datasets, performing analyses on the databases, documenting data management and analysis procedures, and compiling results in written and visual form (such as tables, graphs). Position may participate in database acquisition from performing arts organizations, and database creation from other sources of information (such as financial reports). The person in this position will observe confidentiality rules and procedures and human subject protocols associated with the study. Position reports to the Principal Investigator of the project. Position will also interact with other project personnel and consultants, LBJ School personnel, and University departments as needed.

Required qualifications

High degree of proficiency in SAS and Excel. High level of professionalism, ability to meet deadlines, detail orientation, accuracy, and organization. Flexibility and adaptability. Master's degree in a related discipline and three years comparable experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

More than three years of relevant experience. Experience with survey research projects. Knowledge of arts and cultural organizations and ticketing databases. Experience with NVivo and qualitative databases. Proficiency with STATA. Experience providing administrative project support.
