Additional Information

Purpose

Maintenance and care of assigned areas. Provide general field maintenance, building services and coordination of resources to support baseball operations.

Essential Functions

Utilize independent discretion and decision making. Assist the Director of Turf and Grounds in daily maintenance and day-to-day operation of UFCU Disch-Falk Field, surrounding stadium, and adjacent landscaping. Daily maintenance and upkeep of the pitching mound and bullpens within the facility. Clean and groom various synthetic turf playing surfaces throughout the stadium. Maintain daily upkeep and cleanliness of batting cages, dugouts, entryways, concourse and bullpens. Setup and break down of field for batting practices and games. Maintenance of netting on screens, dugouts, bullpens and batting cages. Mowing, string-trimming, fertility applications to grassed area within and adjacent to the facility. Work with coaching staff to support camp operations throughout the year. Responsible for daily maintenance, cleanliness and overall appearance of UFCU-Disch Falk Field and surrounding common areas. Weekly cleaning/power washing of public areas and concourse to keep facility clean. Provide building services and coordination of outside contractors to support baseball operations. Act as facility liaison for baseball staff on a daily basis. Assist other field managers as needed to support home football games, outdoor track meets, soccer matches, softball games and all sport practices/camps.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Other related functions as assigned.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications

Associate's degree. A minimum of 2 years of experience in baseball field maintenance. Thorough knowledge and use of various field maintenance and athletic equipment as well as a personal computer. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. A minimum of 3 years of experience in baseball field maintenance. Thorough knowledge of stadium maintenance and event management.
