Introductory Statisitcs: Analyzing Data with Purpose In-Class Activity Student Pages (first edition)
Printed Book
The Dana Center's Introductory Statistics: Analyzing Data
with Purpose (ISAP) is a college-level course that is grounded in
data, intended to serve students pursuing careers in business,
allied health, nursing, and the social and behavioral
sciences.
Students are asked to learn from and communicate
with data, with a focus on the investigative process that leads
to data-based conclusions. Students construct and test
hypotheses, solve problems, reflect on their work, and make
connections between concepts.
The Dana Center's Data
Analysis Tools facilitate studentsb data analysis and
exploration, developing an understanding of important concepts
such as sampling variability.
Three or four credits, with
the same instructor, are recommended. Optional corequisite
support materials are available for students designated as
underprepared and are aligned with each of the activities of the
ISAP course.
