CAMPUS WATCH: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Tuesday, 12-19-06 and Wednesday 12-20-06. * * * * * BOLO CRIME ALART * * * * * Attached is a photograph of a subject who has been involved in numerous thefts in CMA and ECJ. These thefts have included DVD players, cameras, MP3 players or anything that can be carried off. This subject uses public transportation to arrive at or leave the campus area. If you observe this subject notify The University of Texas Police Department immediately at 512-471-4441 or 911 from any campus telephone. * * * * * ADMINISTRATIVE MESSAGE * * * * * Our web master has been updating the Campus Watch web site. ENGINEERING SCIENCE BUILDING, 2501 Speedway Theft: A Canon Photo Printer was stolen from an unsecured cabinet located inside an unsecured 4th floor office. Loss value: $100.00. Occurred: between 12-08-06, at 5:00 PM and 12-19-06, at 11:25 AM. PARKING LOT 114, 2200 Leona Street Burglary of Motor Vehicle: A UT student reported the theft of his Bazooka subwoofer and amplifier from his blue colored Isuzu Rodeo. Loss value: $400.00. Occurred: between 12-04-06, at 5:24 PM and 12-19-06, at 12:48 PM. TRINITY PARKING GARAGE, 1815 Trinity Burglary on Motor Vehicle: The passenger side window of a white colored Honda was discovered broken out. During the investigation, the officer learned that a Hewlett Packard MP3 player and 50 assorted CDs had been removed from the vehicle after being left in plain view. Loss value: $ 225.00. Occurred: between 12-11-06, at 5:00 PM and 12-19-06, at 9:54 AM. 100 BLOCK WEST 7th STREET Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was observed attempting to gain entry into O'Henry Hall. When the subject realized that he was being watched by a UT staff member, the subject fled. The staff member watched the subject climb an exterior fire escape and attempt to enter another business through a second floor door. The officer observed that the front and backside of the subject's pants were soaking wet after the subject had urinated in them. During the investigation, the officer detected a very strong odor of alcohol on the subject's breath. The subject was very confused as to where in Austin he was, believing he was somewhere between 22nd Street and 5th Street. The subject was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 12-20-06, at 3:37 AM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 32 alarm calls, 2 medical calls, 3 suspicious activity reports, and 3 unsecured door reports between 12-19-06 and 12-20-06.
