These resolutions involve making changes or doing something different in order to see a desired change. After a few days, however, those resolutions are forgotten. My partner and I reviewed the alcohol stats for 2006 and compared those numbers with the previous year. Not surprisingly there was a drastic shift in the numbers. 2005 Arrests 2006 Arrests DWI 124 compared to 220 PI 182 compared to 218 Our New Years Resolution is to reduce these numbers through education as well as enforcement. But this resolution requires a community effort. That community is you and I, the students, the staff, the faculty as well as the parents. Identifying risky behavior is one step. Providing alternatives to parties is the next step.
