CAMPUS WATCH: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Tuesday, 02-06-07 and Wednesday, 02-07-07. * * * * BOLO BE ON THE LOOKOUT * * * * * Attached is a photograph of a known bicycle thief who has been handled by the University of Texas Police Department for Criminal Trespass, Panhandling, and Theft. Currently, there is an arrest warrant issued for this subject. If you see this subject contact the University of Texas Police Department at 512-471-4441. BRACKENRIDGE APARTMENTS, 3350 Lake Austin Blvd. Assist Outside Agency: A UT police officer discovered a grey Oldsmobile that was occupied by two subjects who were sleeping. During the investigation, both subjects stated they were helping another subject move and decided to take a nap. As the investigation continued, the officer discovered that the driver had an outstanding outside agency warrant. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 2-07-07, at 12:30 AM. CHEMICAL PETROLUM ENGINEERING, 200 East Dean Keeton Theft: A grey Jansport backpack containing an Apple Macbook laptop computer, a TI89 calculator, and two textbooks were stolen from a second floor computer lab. Loss value: $810.00. Occurred on: 2-06-07, between 9:15 AM and 9:20 AM. GOLDSMITH HALL, #5 West Mall Theft: A Red Fugi racing style racing bicycle was stolen from the west side of the building after being secured with a self-locking cable lock. During the investigation, the owner found his lock cut in-half. Loss value: $150.00. Occurred on: 2-05-07, between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. ROBERT L. MOORE HALL, 2515 Speedway Theft: A red Ironman mountain bicycle was stolen from the bike racks located on the north side of the building after being secured with a self-locking cable lock. Loss value: $100.00. Occurred on: 2-05-07, at 10:30 PM and 2-06-07, at 12:05 AM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 35 alarm calls, 3 suspicious activity calls, 2 suspicious persons calls, and 2 unsecured buildings between 02-06-07 and 02-07-07.
