Officer learned that the subject claims to be a UT student and an 8th floor resident of Jester. Occurred on: 2-13-07, at 9:00 AM. Crime Prevention Tip: There are many parents that read the Campus Watch and are diligent about passing on information to their sons and daughters. Please remain diligent and pass the following information on: The access control system that was installed by Housing and Food only works when students prevent strangers from "Tailgating" behind them. Right now it seems that there are a few students who feel secure enough with the access control system to leave their rooms unlocked. The system is as strong as its weakest link. Are you that link? Take the time to secure your room, even if your roommate is there. This is not about paranoia; this is about your security and safety. PARKING LOT 104, 1900 Block North IH-35 Burglary of Motor Vehicle (Criminal Episode): A UT police officer discovered the driver's side window of a red Mazda Protégé broken out. While investigating this burglary, officers discovered broken windows on a black Toyota truck, red Mazda truck, white Acura Integra, and a black Dodge Stratus. At the time of discovery, the officers were unable to confirm that any property was missing with the registered owners of the vehicles. Loss value: Unknown at this time.
