Most of the staggering will occur at the beach parties, concerts, and more beach parties. We showcased how busy many of the law enforcement agencies will be during the next few weeks. Other agencies will eclipse the number of calls received by the police. Local Fire Departments and EMS services will be receiving a number of emergency calls for alcohol poisoning. Many of the reported student deaths, during spring break, have been attributed to alcohol. DWIs and alcohol poisoning lead the way. Take a minute to recognize the signs of alcohol poisoning. Cut out this Sam Spady card and take it with you. Come back with a Spring Break story for your friends, not for your parents. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 28 alarm calls, 3 suspicious person calls, 2 suspicious activity calls, and 5 unsecured buildings between 03-06-07 and 03-07-07. Contact UT Police at 471-4441 if you have any information regarding any of the above incidents or call 911 regarding suspicious persons, suspicious activities or crime. Your call may help solve or prevent a crime. Campus Watch comments should be directed to Officer Darrell Halstead at 512-232-9634 or Darrell.halstead@austin.utexas.edu .
