CAMPUS WATCH: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Tuesday, 03-13-07 and Wednesday, 03-14-07. BELMONT HALL, 2109 San Jacinto Blvd Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject entered a third floor office and stated a conversation with a UT staff member. The subject then made the staff member feel uncomfortable by asking her out on a date. The staff member told the subject to leave several times; the subject complied. During the investigation, the officers located the subject walking away from the building. The subject informed the officers that he was touring the campus. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning and escorted from the area. Occurred on: 3-13-07, at 1:05 PM. JESTER WEST DORMITORY, 201 East 21st Street Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was discovered sleeping at a table located on the 3rd floor of the building. During the investigation, the officer soon discovered that the subject had received two prior criminal trespass warnings for other buildings. The subject was taken into custody for Criminal Trespass and transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 3-14-07, at 2:30 AM. JESTER WEST DORMITORY, 201 East 21st Street Criminal Trespass: A UT staff member reported that a non-UT subject was attempting to gain entry into several restricted areas with a female UT student's UTID. During the investigation, the officers located the subject sitting in the Sports Court area. The officer recognized the subject from a previous encounter inside Jester Dormitory. The officer verified that the subject had received a prior written criminal trespass warning, and took the subject into custody for Criminal Trespass. The subject was transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 3-14-07, at 3:15 AM. 300 BLOCK EAST MARTIN LUTHER KING BLVD Driving While Intoxicated: A gold Nissan was observed traveling south on Red River at a high rate of speed. The driver of the vehicle then continued to commit several additional traffic violations. During the investigation, the officer detected a very strong odor of distilled spirits of the driver's breath. The officer noted that the driver's eyes were bloodshot as well as watery. The driver stated that she was coming from the Whiskey Bar, but had not been drinking any alcohol. The officer administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests to the driver. The driver displayed a number of clues that indicated she was intoxicated. The driver was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 3-14-07, at 4:17 AM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 23 alarm calls, 2 suspicious person calls, 2 suspicious activity calls, and 8 unsecured buildings between 03-13-07 and 03-14-07.
