Many students and library patrons create the opportunities for a thief to apply his or her trade. Take the time to ensure that you have all of your property prior to leaving an area. Before you take your personal property out of your residence, mark it with your State issued driver's license number or ID number. These numbers will help a police officer track down the rightful owner if the property is recovered. You can obtain an engraver from any police department. Free of Charge. A priceless endeavor. In either case you will be awakened when someone attempts to steal your property.
