CAMPUS WATCH: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Wednesday, 04-11-07 and Thursday, 04-12-07. COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, 2110 Speedway Criminal Mischief: A UT staff member discovered the magnetic lock used to secure a third floor door had been pulled off of the door frame. Loss value: $500.00. Discovered on: 4-12-07, at 6:25 AM. GRADUATE & INTERNATIONAL ADMISSIONS, 2608 Whitis Ave Burglary of Coin-Operated Machine: An unknown subject entered into the GIA Building and attempted to enter into a Coca Cola vending machine with an unknown tool. The unknown subject was able to force open the outer door, but failed to gain entry into the storage compartment of the machine. Estimated damage: $300.00. Discovered on: 4-11-07, at 8:00 AM. Reported on: 4-11-07, at 1:49 PM. PHYSICAL PLANT COMPLEX, 1300 Block Manor Road Criminal Trespass Warning: A UT staff member observed a non-UT subject digging through the trash cans located near the UT Gas Pumps. During the investigation, the responding officers located the subject as he was removing items from a trash can. The subject stated that he was looking for something to eat. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning and escorted from the area. Occurred on: 4-12-07, at 2:00 AM. W.R. WOOLDRIDGE LABORATORY, 210 East 24th Street Theft: A white GT mountain bicycle was stolen after being secured to a pole located on the south side of the building. The former owner secured his property with a thin self-locking cable lock. Loss value: $250.00. Occurred on: 4-09-07, between 11:00 AM and 11:00 PM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 25 alarm calls, 3 suspicious person calls, 2 suspicious activity calls, 2 medical emergency calls, and 5 unsecured buildings between 04-11-07 and 04-12-07.
