CAMPUS WATCH: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Tuesday, 05-01-07 and Wednesday, 05-02-07. GREGORY GYM, 2101 Speedway Public Intoxication: A UT student was discovered inside a women's restroom having an extreme physical reaction to the overconsumption of alcohol. The officer heard the rhythmic chanting as the student paid homage to a porcelain receptacle. During the investigation, the officer detected a very strong odor of alcohol on the subject's breath. The officer asked the student how much alcohol she had consumed. The student replied, "Too much." The student was issued a referral to the Dean of Students and was released to a sober friend who took the student home. Occurred on: 4-27-07, at 1:30 AM. PARKING LOT 104, 1900 Block North IH-35 Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The passenger window of a green GMC truck was discovered broken out. The officer observed that the personal property of the truck's owner had been thrown about inside the vehicle. The officer was unable to contact the vehicle's owner. Unknown at this time if any property was stolen. Discovered on: 4-30-07, at 3:30 PM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 56 alarm calls, 2 suspicious persons calls, 2 medical calls and 8 unsecured buildings between 05-01-07 and 05-02-07.
