CAMPUS WATCH: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Wednesday, 05-30-07 and Thursday, 05-31-07. WOOLRIDGE HALL, 600 West 24th Street Theft: An Apple iPod was stolen from an unsecured 2nd floor office. Loss value: $100.00. Occurred on: 5-25-07, between 12:01 PM and 5:30 PM. 800 BLOCK EAST DEAN KEETON STREET Driving While Intoxicated: A green Kawasaki motorcycle was observed speeding. During the traffic investigation, the officer detected a moderate odor of alcohol on the driver's breath. The officer noted that the driver's speech was slow as well as slurred. As the investigation continued, the officer administered the Standardized Field Sobriety tests to the driver. The driver displayed several clues that indicated he was intoxicated. The driver was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 5-29-07, at 2:59 AM. 200 BLOCK SAN JACINTO BLVD. Driving While Intoxicated: A white Jeep was observed traveling north at a high rate of speed. The officer then observed the vehicle run through a spot sign. During the traffic investigation, the officer detected a very strong odor of alcohol on the driver's breath. As the investigation continued, the officer administered the Standardized Field Sobriety tests to the driver. The driver displayed enough clues that indicated he was intoxicated. The driver was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 5-30-07, at 4:45 AM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 51 alarm calls, 3 suspicious persons calls, 2 medical calls, 2 lighting surveys, and 15 unsecured buildings between 05-30-07 and 05-31-07.
