CAMPUS WATCH: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Wednesday, 05-28-08 and Thursday, 05-29-08. GATEWAY APARTMENT, 1618 West 6th Street Suspicious Activity: A UT student discovered an unknown subject peering into his apartment. When the unknown subject realized that he had been discovered, he staggered away. The student informed the officer that the unknown subject appeared to be intoxicated. The unknown subject was last seen driving away in a dark colored vehicle. The officers searched the surrounding area, but were unable to locate the suspicious subject. Occurred on: 5-29-08, at 3:56 AM. LAVACA BUILDING, 220 West 7th Street Graffiti: Words and letters were discovered written on a grey panel in white ink or paint. Est. loss: $75.00. Discovered on: 5-29-08, at 2:39 AM. O'HENRY HALL, 601 Colorado Criminal Trespass Warning: Three non-UT subjects were discovered skating on the south patio of the building. The subjects claimed to be professional skaters attempting to meet a deadline. All three subjects were informed of the banned on skating on UT property, were issued written Criminal Trespass Warnings and were escorted off the property. Occurred on: 5-29-08, at 2:40 AM. UNIVERSITY TEACHING CENTER, 105 West 21st Street Possession of Marijuana / Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was discovered sleeping next to the 2nd floor escalator. The responding officers located the subject and realized the subject had been issued a prior criminal trespass warning. The subject was taken into custody for Criminal Trespass. During a search of the subject, the officers discovered a plastic baggie containing marijuana. Additional charges for Possession of Marijuana were filed. The subject was transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 5-29-08, at 2:01 AM. 2300 BLOCK SAN JACINTO BLVD Possession of Alcohol by a Minor: A red Suzuki was seen running through a stop sign. During the traffic investigation, the officer discovered an opened 12 oz. can of beer that had been placed between the driver's seat and the door, when the driver was asked to step out of his vehicle. As the investigation continued, the officer soon learned that the non-UT subject was under the legal age of 21. The officer issued the subject a field release citation for Possession of Alcohol by a Minor. Occurred on: 5-29-08, at 1:12 AM. 2300 BLOCK SPEEDWAY Assist Outside Agency: A blue Honda was seen driving past the barricade, and continue traveling through the pedestrian section of Speedway. During the traffic investigation, the officer soon learned that the non-UT driver had two outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for theft. The subject was taken into custody and was transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 5-28-08, at 9:59 PM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 13 alarm calls, 4 suspicious activity calls, 3 suspicious person calls, 6 unsecured doors reported between 05-28-08 and 05-29-08.
