CAMPUS WATCH: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Friday 06-06-08, and Monday, 06-09-08. The RAD program will be holding a daytime class during the week of June 23 through June 26 in the College of Business Administration Building. There is limited space available for this class. The daytime course is not listed on the web page. To sign up for this daytime class, contact Sgt. Davis at 232-9611. CENTENNIAL PARK, 1620 Red River Assist Outside Agency / Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was discovered leaning over, dazed and confused. During the investigation, the officer soon detected a very strong odor of alcohol on the subject's breath, and noted that the subject had dried evidence of having had an extreme physical reaction to the over-consumption of alcohol. The subject was taken into custody for Public Intoxication. After taking the subject into custody, the officer discovered that the subject had an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant. During a search of the subject after his arrest, the officer found a $20.00 bill. The subject perked up and told the officer, "If I had known I had $20.00 dollars on me, I would have been at the liquor store." Occurred on: 6-9-08, at 3:30 AM. DISCH FALK FIELD, 1300 MARTIN LUTHER KING Criminal Trespass: Four non-UT subjects were observed climbing over the outfield fence and entering into the baseball stadium. When the unauthorized subjects saw the police officers descending upon them, they attempted to flee, and were caught before reaching "home". Charges are pending. Occurred on: 6-7-08, at 11:20 PM. 100 BLOCK WEST 21st Street Public Intoxication: A UT student was discovered passed out next to a trashcan. It took the officer several attempts to get the student to wake up. During the investigation, the officer detected a very strong odor of alcohol on the subject's breath. The student was unable to stand up or maintain his balance. The subject was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and was transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 6-06-08, at 9:15 PM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 28 alarm calls, 3 suspicious activity calls, and 3 unsecured door reports between 06-07-08 and 06-09-08.
