CAMPUS WATCH: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Monday, 06-09-08 and Tuesday, 06-10-08. ACES BUILDING, 201 East 24th Street Theft: A pair of Sony headphones were stolen from an unsecured office located on the 2nd floor. Loss value: $30.00. Occurred between: 6-06-08 and 6-09-08. JOHNSON WILDFLOWER CENTER, 4801 La Crosse Criminal Trespass Warning (2 Counts): Two non-UT subjects were discovered inside a restricted area sitting on a bench talking. As the investigation continued, the officer issued both subjects a written Criminal Trespass Warning and escorted them from the property. Occurred on: 6-09-08, at 11:51 PM. UNIVERSITY CHARTER SCHOOL, 2200 East 6th Street Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was discovered sleeping inside a restricted area. During the investigation, the officer issued the subject a written Criminal Trespass Warning and escorted him from the property. Occurred on: 6-09-08, at 10:00 PM. 300 BLOCK WEST 24th STREET Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was discovered inside an established campsite located on the north side of building, inside a planter. During the investigation, the officers issued the subject a written Criminal Trespass Warning and escorted him from the campus area. Occurred on: 6-09-08, at 8:30 PM. Freshman Orientation starts today. There will be approximately 1,300 in-coming freshmen and their parents learning about UT as well as experiencing the Longhorn community. Make a difference, take a minute and talk to one or two freshmen. More importantly, watch out for their safety. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 11 alarm calls, 2 suspicious activity calls, and 1 unsecured door report between 06-09-08 and 06-10-08.
