CAMPUS WATCH: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Wednesday, 06-11-08 and Thursday, 06-12-08. BELMONT HALL, 2109 San Jacinto Blvd Suspicious Person: A UT staff member discovered an unknown subject inside his secured 6th floor office. The unknown subject was seen going through papers and attempting to gain access onto a UT computer. The staff member confronted the subject and the subject left one office and entered into another. The subject then left the area. The unknown subject was described as: White male, 30 years of age, orange t-shirt, tan shorts, and was carrying a bicycle helmet. Occurred on: 6-10-08, at 7:00 PM. Crime Prevention Tip: Key control and computer security, these are two areas of high security. Take a minute and look at you departmental key control policy. If it is out of date, you might consider updating it. All UT employees need to keep computer security in mind. Computers need to be shut down at the end of each work day. COLORADO BUILDING, 702 Colorado Street Graffiti: Words of undying devotion were discovered written in blue ink on the east exterior wall. Loss value: $75.00. Discovered on: 6-12-08, at 5:21 AM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 12 alarm calls, 2 suspicious activity calls, and 6 unsecured door reports between 06-11-08 and 06-12-08.
