ADMINISTRATIVE MESSAGE The University of Texas Police Department will be hosting the 5th annual Citizen's Police Academy. The CPA will be held every Monday night beginning October 6th 2008. UPCOMING EVENT The University of Texas Student Government and The University of Texas Police Department is proud to welcome the Austin Police Department to Parking Lot 41 located at Clyde Littlefield and Red River on Wednesday, September 24th, 2008 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM for an invaluable auto theft prevention program. Members of the Austin Police Department will be on hand to etch your vehicle's identification number on all of your vehicle's windows. This process advertises to a vehicle thief that even your windows are marked with the vehicle identification number making it harder to sell the windows and easier for a police officer to identify the vehicle windows as yours. We encourage everyone with a car to come out and have this service done free of charge. While you are there, visit with one of the UT police officers who will have an electric engraver on hand so that you may mark your personal property with your state issued driver's license number. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact William R. Pieper at 512-232-9638.
