The 25th Annual National Night Out is Tuesday, October 7, 2008 * * * * * ADMINISTRATIVE MESSAGE * * * * * Bicyclists Since the beginning of the semester the University of Texas Police Department has been receiving complaints and concerns about the bicycle traffic and safety on campus. Beginning today, the UT Police Department and Travis County Sheriffs' Department will begin traffic enforcement aimed at bicyclists disregarding State traffic laws. Citations will include, but are not limited to: Running Stop Signs, Failure to Yield Right of Way to Pedestrians, and Traveling Left of Center. Pedestrians, this is also a reminder for you as well. There are areas of campus that are currently under construction, you need to stay out of the roadway.
