The bank that issued the card is investigating the charges and believes the debit card number was “randomly generated” by the thief. Victims of such credit card abuse frequently do not even realize their card has been compromised until several charges have been made. To mitigate the effects of such credit card abuse cases, make sure you take the time to study your credit card statements and bank statements. Question any suspicious charges and contact your credit card company or bank in the event you discover such suspicious charges.
