Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Tuesday, 12-02-08 and Wednesday, 12-03-08. ALMETRIS DUREN HALL, 2624 Whitis Ave Theft: A grey Schwinn mountain bicycle was stolen from the bike racks located on the northeast portion of the building after being secured with a single U-shaped lock. During the investigation, the officer learned that the formed owner of the bicycle had taken the time to register his bicycle with Parking and Transportation. Loss value: $100.00 Occurred on: 12-02-08, between 10.00 AM and 12:01 PM. BATTS HALL, #3 South Mall Theft: A black and blue Nokia cellular telephone was stolen from an unsecured 4th floor office after being left unattended. Loss value: $30.00. Occurred between: 12-01-08 and 12-02-08. JESTER WEST DORMITORY, 201 East 21st Street Theft: Two grey GT mountain bicycles were stolen from the bike racks located on the south side of the building after being secured with a self-locking cable lock. Loss value: $1,600.00 ($800.00 each.) Occurred between: 12-01-08 at 10:00 PM and 12-02-08 at 12:01 AM. MEZES HALL, #5 South Mall Graffiti: Words written in black magic marker were discovered on an interior wall located on a first floor. Est. Loss: $40.00. Discovered on: 12-02-008 at 2:01 AM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 20 alarm calls, 3 unsecured door reports, 2 medical emergency assists, 2 public assist requests and 2 suspicious activity reports between 12-02-08 and 12-03-08.
