Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Thursday, 05/28/09 and Friday, 05/29/09. ****Upcoming Event**** Help support your local emergency responders and the Texas Special Olympics by registering for the 5K Run with Heroes race being held on June 7th at 8:00 a.m. This year's race will be run in memory and honor of fallen Austin Police Officer Amy Donovan. For more information, please see the attached documents. BRACKENRIDGE APARTMENTS, 3300 Lake Austin Blvd. Assault with Injuries / Family Violence: The UT Police Department responded to a 911 call. During the investigation, the officers learned a UT student had been involved in an assault. The suspect was taken into custody for Assault with Injuries / Family Violence and was transported to Central Booing. Occurred on: 5-29-09, at 12:37 AM. HARRY RANSOM, 300 West 21st Street Graffiti: A UT staff member discovered words written on the back of a parking sign located on the north side of the building. Loss value: $50.00. Discovered on: 5-28-09 at 9:41 PM. PHARMACY BUILDING, 2409 University Ave Forgery: A UT student discovered a $20.00 bill that “felt funny” during a fund raising event. During the investigation, the officer confirmed the suspected counterfeit bill was missing several distinguishable security features. Additional tests confirmed the bill was in fact counterfeit. Loss value: $20.00. Occurred on: 5-28-09, at 10:45 AM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 13 alarm calls and 3 unsecured door reports, 1 suspicious activity report, and 2 lighting surveys between 05/28/09 and 05/29/09.
