Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Monday, 06/29/09 and Tuesday, 06/30/09. L. Theo Belmont Hall, 2109 San Jacinto Theft: Three rings were stolen from a 3rd floor office. Each ring had the owner's name on the exterior of the ring. Loss value: $300.00. Occurred between 05/01/09 and 06/29/09. 2100 San Jacinto Graffiti: A white marker was used to write letters and numbers on a stop sign located at the intersection of 21st Street and San Jacinto Boulevard. Removal cost: $35.00. Discovered on 06/30/09 at 1:00 a.m. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 30 alarm calls, 2 welfare concern reports, 3 suspicious activity reports and 3 unsecured door reports between 06/29/09 and 06/30/09. UTPD generally schedules a Defensive Driving Class approximately once a month – based on need. The classes meet in the University Police Building, Room 1.318, located at 2201 Robert Dedman Dr (east of Memorial Stadium). The cost for the course is $25.00 (check or cash) payable on class date. If paying in cash, please bring the exact amount because change may not be available. You will also need to bring your driver's license. BCAL provides a central resource for UT faculty, students, and staff who may have concerns about the behavior or well-being of another member of the campus community.
