Occurred on 09/19/09 between 6:45 p.m. and 12 midnight. Crime Prevention Tip: Pick-pockets love to find places where there are a lot of people who are distracted, like entrances to football stadiums before a big game. They simply wander through the crowd, cause a distraction like bumping into someone and removing the victim's wallet from their pocket. In this case, the victim did have his wallet in his front pocket, which we recommend. To further slow down a pick pocket, try wrapping a rubber band around your wallet. This makes it more difficult for a thief to slide your wallet out of your pocket undetected. Whenever you are out and about and someone does bump into you, check your pockets right then for items that may have been stolen.
