Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Tuesday, 10/13/09 and Wednesday, 10/14/09. CLAUDIA TAYLOR JOHNSON, 210 West 6th Street Criminal Trespass Warning: A UT staff member observed a non-UT subject sitting in the Plaza area playing a clarinet with his case open in front of him. The subject refused to leave the area after being asked to do so by the staff member. After the officers arrived, the subject was issued a written Criminal Trespass Warning and was escorted from the area. Occurred on: 10-13-09, at 8:30 PM. WELCH HALL, 105 East 24th Street Criminal Trespass Warning: A UT faculty member reported a non-UT subject was attempting to make arrangements to meet with another UT faculty member to inquire about another job. The faculty member stated the subject was a distraction and was not allowed to be in or near Welch Hall. During the investigation, the officers located the subject inside Welch Hall and issued him a written Criminal Trespass Warning. The subject was later escorted from the property. Occurred on: 10-13-09, at 2:19 PM. WEST MALL BUILDING, #3 West Mall Attempted Theft: A UT staff member observed an unknown subject attempting to remove a bike lock with a pair of pliers. Several UT police officers searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect was described as: White male, wearing a green shirt and ball cap. Occurred on: 10-13-09, at 1:00 PM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 22 alarm calls, 5 fire alarm activations, 1 public assist calls, 1 motor vehicle collision, 3 medical emergency assists, 1 accidental damage report, 1 stuck elevator call and 1 unsecure door report between 10/13/09 and 10/14/09.
