Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Tuesday, 03/02/10 and Wednesday, 3/03/10. DOTY FINE ARTS BUILDING, 2301 Trinity Ave Theft: A UT student reported a Sony DVD/VHS player along with another MP3 player were stolen from an art display located the student exhibition room. Both players had been secured with a small metal chain. Loss value: $30.00. Discovered on: 3-02-10, at 4:7 PM. SANCHEZ BUILDING, 1912 Speedway Burglary of Coin-Operated Machine: A UT staff member discovered several coin-operated machines located inside the women's restrooms on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors had been broken. Loss value: Unknown at this time. Discovered on: 3-02-10, at 9:59 AM. PARKING LOT 80, 1900 Red River Burglary of Motor Vehicle: A UT student discovered the driver's side window of her Jeep Liberty broken out. During an inventory of the vehicle the officer learned a Garmin GPS system, charger, and a Chase Visa card had been taken. Loss value: $77.00. Occurred on: 3-02-10 between, 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 22 Alarm Calls, 2 Suspicious Activity Reports, and1 unsecured door reports, between 03/02/10 and 3/03/10.
