Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Monday, 04/05/10 and Tuesday, 04/06/10. Behavior Concerns Advice Line (BCAL) The Behavior Concerns Advice Line (BCAL) is a partnership among the Office of the Dean of Students, Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and the University of Texas Police Department (UTPD). BCAL provides a central resource for UT faculty, students, and staff who may have concerns about the behavior or well-being of another member of the campus community. By calling BCAL at 512-232-5050, callers may talk with trained staff members who will assist the caller in exploring available options and strategies as well as referrals to appropriate campus support networks. ART BUILDING, 2301 San Jacinto Blvd. Theft: A UT staff member discovered a Sony video camera, Canon video camera, Marantz recorder, camera tripod and a set of headphones had been checked out by a UT student and had not been returned after the allotted time. Loss value: $2,390.00. Occurred between: 3-26-10 and 4-05-10. ENGINEERING TEACHING CENTER, 204 East Dean Keeton Theft: A blue and silver Motiv mountain bicycle was stolen from the bike racks located on the south side of the building after being secured with a self-locking cable lock. Loss value: $210.00. Occurred on: 4-05-10, at 2:15 PM and 7:15 PM. GUADALUPE PARKING GARAGE, 1616 Guadalupe Criminal Mischief: A UT staff member discovered the driver's side window of her Honda shattered. The vehicle was inventoried and no personal property was missing. During the investigation, the officers learned two other vehicles had received similar damage. Loss value: Unknown at this time. Occurred on 4-05-10, between 6:05 AM and 7:00 PM. PARKING LOT 70, 2000 Block Robert Dedman Dr. Burglary of Motor Vehicle: A UT student discovered the driver's side window of his vehicle shattered and an Apple iPod Nano had been removed. Loss value: $50.00. Damage: $150.00. Occurred on: 4-05-10, between 1:45 PM and 4:45 PM. WALTER WEBB HALL, 2500 Guadalupe Criminal Trespass Warning: A UT Police Officer discovered a non-UT subject inside a restricted area. The subject was issued a written Criminal Trespass Warning and was escorted from the area. Occurred on: 4-06-10, at 1:46 AM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 22 Alarm Calls, 2 Suspicious Activity Reports, 2EMS calls, and 8 Unsecure Door Reports between 04/05/10 and 04/06/10.
