Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Wednesday, 04/21/10 and Thursday, 04/22/10. Behavior Concerns Advice Line (BCAL) The Behavior Concerns Advice Line (BCAL) is a partnership among the Office of the Dean of Students, Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and the University of Texas Police Department (UTPD). BCAL provides a central resource for UT faculty, students, and staff who may have concerns about the behavior or well-being of another member of the campus community. By calling BCAL at 512-232-5050, callers may talk with trained staff members who will assist the caller in exploring available options and strategies as well as referrals to appropriate campus support networks. ADMINSTRATIVE MESSAGE The University of Texas at Austin Police Department is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to maintain its accreditation status. The assessment will verify the agency's continuing adherence to professional standards. Your comments and input are requested. BRAZOS PARKING GARAGE, 200 East Martin Luther King Blvd Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was discovered on the 7th level of the garage. The subject was sweating profusely and his eyes were bloodshot and glossy. During the investigation, the officers learned the subject had been smoking marijuana. The subject was displaying several signs of distress and was transported to a local area hospital. In addition to the law enforcement actions taken, the subject was issued a written Criminal Trespass Warning. Occurred on: 4-21-10, at 8:10 PM. GREGORY GYM, 2101 Speedway Theft: An Apple iPhone with a cracked face was stolen after the former owner left the property unsecured and unattended while playing basketball. Loss value: $150.00. Occurred on: 4-21-10, between 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM. TEXAS MEMORIAL MUSEUM, 2400 Trinity Theft: A UT staff member reported $160.00 in cash was missing from a cash register after being left inside a secured area. Occurred between: 4-16-10 and 4-19-10. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 21 Alarm Calls, 1 lighting survey, 1 Suspicious Activity report, and 2 unsecured door reports between 04/21/10 and 04/22/10.
