Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Wednesday, 05/05/10 and Thursday, 05/06/10. Behavior Concerns Advice Line (BCAL) The Behavior Concerns Advice Line (BCAL) is a partnership among the Office of the Dean of Students, Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and the University of Texas Police Department (UTPD). BCAL provides a central resource for UT faculty, students, and staff who may have concerns about the behavior or well-being of another member of the campus community. By calling BCAL at 512-232-5050, callers may talk with trained staff members who will assist the caller in exploring available options and strategies as well as referrals to appropriate campus support networks. COLORADO BUILDING, 702 Colorado Street Graffiti: Words written in black aerosol spray paint was discovered on the north side of the building. During the investigation, the officer was able to obtain the description of the suspect. The suspect was described as: White male, 17-25 years of age, brown hair, wearing a light colored t-shirt and basketball shorts. Loss repair: $100.00. Occurred on 5-06-10, at 12:45 AM. JESTER EAST DORMITORY, 302 East 21st Street Burglary of Habitation: A Toshiba laptop computer was stolen from an unsecured 9th floor dormitory room. The officer learned the former owner was across the hall in another room during the burglary. Loss value: $900.00. Occurred on: 5-02-10, between 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM. 100 BLOCK EAST DEAN KEETON Suspicious Activity: A UT student reported an unknown subject approached her and asked her to follow him several times. When the student ignored him and attempted to walk past, the subject put his hand on her shoulder and again told her to come with him. The student pulled away and left the area. The unknown subject was described as: White male, 6'-0”, was last seen wearing a blue ball cap, red shirt, blue jeans and black sunglasses. Occurred on: 5-05-10, at 4:00 PM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 18 Alarm Calls, 1 EMS call, and 3 Unsecured Door Reports between 05/05/10 and 05/06/10.
