Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department patrol officers between Thursday, 05/06/10 and Friday, 05/07/10. Behavior Concerns Advice Line (BCAL) The Behavior Concerns Advice Line (BCAL) is a partnership among the Office of the Dean of Students, Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and the University of Texas Police Department (UTPD). BCAL provides a central resource for UT faculty, students, and staff who may have concerns about the behavior or well-being of another member of the campus community. By calling BCAL at 512-232-5050, callers may talk with trained staff members who will assist the caller in exploring available options and strategies as well as referrals to appropriate campus support networks. GREGORY GYM, 2101 Speedway Theft: A black leather wallet containing several credit cards, personal identification, and $50.00 in cash was reported stolen from a secured locker. Loss value: $60.00. Occurred on: 5-06-10, between 10:30 PM and 11:55 PM. MOORE-HILL DORMITORY, 214 East 21st Street Theft: A black colored Trek 3700 mountain bicycle was reported stolen from the bike racks located on the south side of the dormitory. During the investigation, the officer learned the subject had secured the front tire of the bike to the bike rack. The tire was still secured. Loss value: $400.00. Occurred between: 4-29-10 and 5-06-10. MOORE-HILL DORMITORY, 214 East 21st Street Theft: A silver colored Trek 800 was reported stolen after being secured to a street sign pole with a U-shaped lock. Loss value: $400.00. Occurred between: 4-29-10 and 5-06-10. WAGGONER HALL, 2210 Speedway Theft: A 3” X 5” red wallet containing several credit cards, personal identification, $23.00 in cash, and a book of stamps was stolen from inside a secured desk located on the 3rd floor. Loss value: $36.00. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 16 Alarm Calls, 1 Suspicious Activity report, 1 Call box activation, and 5 Unsecured Door Reports between 05/06/10 and 05/07/10.
