That number is entirely too high; especially in light of the fact there are very few students on campus. Please do everything you can in your area to reduce the numbers of alarm activations. If a door has a card reader, then do not use your key to open the door – use your card. Do not hold a door open while engaged in a conversation. Do not run to a door that is almost closed and pull the door open to avoid having to use your card to access the door. Make sure your doors are closed and locked after-hours. If you leave late, please make sure the door closes and locks behind you. If you do activate a false alarm, call the UTPD dispatcher to report the alarm activation. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
