Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department between Monday, 07/05/10 and Tuesday, 07/06/10. ****New Service Brought to You by UTPD**** UTPD is happy to announce online property registration. Items with a serial number such as laptops, MP3 players, cell phones, electronics, and bikes are eligible. Registering your property is very helpful in theft investigations and in returning lost property to its rightful owner. Without identifying information, recovering stolen property is virtually impossible. Come join us on Face Book at: http://www.facebook.com/#!/utaustinpolice CLAUDIA TAYLOR JOHNSON, 201 Colorado Evading Arrest or Detention: A UT Police Officer and a UT staff member observed a non-UT walk up to the north exterior wall of CTJ and began to see if he could make the building grow by watering it. When the subject was stopped by the officer, the subject decided to leave the area in a hasty manner. After a short chase the subject was taken into custody after be tripped and fell to the ground. The subject was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention and was transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 7-05-10, at 2:42 AM. TRINITY PARKING GARAGE, 1815 Trinity Ave. Criminal Mischief: A UT Police Officer discovered the front passenger's window of a white Subaru broken out. Upon further inspection the officer saw the glovebox had been opened and it's contents had been scattered about the passenger compartment. During the investigation, the owner of the vehicle inventoried his vehicle and did not discover any missing property. Loss value: $100.00. Discovered on: 7-05-10, at 5:13 PM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 17 Alarm Calls, 1 Public Assist Request, 3 Fire Alarm Reports, 3 Malfunctioning Light Reports, and 5 Unsecured Door Reports between 07/05/10 and 07/06/10.
