Items with a serial number such as laptops, MP3 players, cell phones, electronics, and bikes are eligible. Registering your property is very helpful in theft investigations and in returning lost property to its rightful owner. Without identifying information, recovering stolen property is virtually impossible. Come join us on Face Book at: http://www.facebook.com/#!/utaustinpolice LITTLEFIELD DORMITORY, 201 West Dean Keeton Forgery: A UT staff member discovered an unknown subject had used a counterfeit $10.00 bill to make a purchase. Loss value: $10.00. Occurred on: 7-08-10. 200 BLOCK WEST 6thSTREET Assist Outside Agency: A UT staff member reported a black Toyota vehicle had been parked for over a week and had accummilated several parking tickets and appeared suspicious. During the investigation, the officer learned the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Austin Police Department. Occurred on: 7-09-10,at 3:04 AM. 2200 BLOCK SAN ANTONIO STREET Suspicious Person: A UT student reported she had seen a non-UT subject that appeared to be homeless in appearance riding a very expensive new bicycle. The student stated that she had seen the same subject earlier and he did not have the bicycle with him at that time. The unknown subject was described as: White male, thin build, 5'-07”, homeless in appearance. Occurred on: 5:45 PM. Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 23 Alarm Calls, 1 Public Assist Request, 2 Fire Alarm Reports, 1 Malfunctioning Light Report, and 2 Unsecured Door Reports between 07/08/10 and 07/09/10.
