Items with a serial number such as laptops, MP3 players, cell phones, electronics, and bikes are eligible. Registering your property is very helpful in theft investigations and in returning lost property to its rightful owner. Come join us on Face Book at: http://www.facebook.com/#!/utaustinpolice SANCHEZ BUILDING, 1912 Speedway Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was discovered sleeping next to the trash dumpster located in the west side of the building. The subject was issued a written Criminal Trespass Warning and was escorted from the area. Occurred on: 7-27-10, at 11:50 PM. TOWNES HALL, 727 East Dean Keeton Burglary: A wallet containing two debit cards, $50.00 in cash, and personal identification was stolen from a secured 2nd floor room. During the investigation, the officer learned the victim had secured her property and had made sure the room was secured. Upon her return she discovered the door was ajar and her property was stolen. Loss value: $70.00. Occurred on: 7-27-10, between 8:45 PM and 9:15 PM. 700 BLOCK MARTIN LUTHER KING BLVD. Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was reported to be using street signs and trees for support in order to prevent himself from falling. During the investigation, the officer detected a very strong odor of alcohol on the subject’s breath and noted other signs of intoxication. An unidentified subject informed the officer that the subject had left the hospital without officially being released. The subject was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and was transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 7-28-10, at 3:15 AM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 12 Alarm Calls, 3 Suspicious Activity Report, 1 Welfare Call, and 3 Unsecured Door Reports between 07/27/10 and 07/28/10.
