Crime Prevention Tip: In many of our presentations we talk about expectations, both individual and group; as well as developing a safety plan. These expectations along with a safety plan are part of your empowerment. The power to take control of a bad or uncomfortable situation. Prior to going out with your friends ask them what their expectations are of you, and then inform them what your expectations are of them. Once that has been established develop a safety plan that everyone can agree upon. I truly doubt this female intended to walk home with a complete stranger at 2:30 in the morning. The question that begs to be asked is where were her friends when the bars closed? 2200 BLOCK RED RIVER Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was seen struggling to keep his balance while attempting to ride a bicycle.
