Thank you for your assistance. CHEMICAL PETROLEUM ENGEERING BUILDING, 200 East Dean Keeton Theft: A grey Trek mountain bicycle was reported stolen from the bike racks located on the south side of the building after being secured with a U-shaped lock. Loss value: $500.00. Occurred on: 12-13-10, between 7:15 PM and 10:20 PM. MCCOMBS SCHOOL OF BUSINESS, 100 East 21st Street Harassment: A UT staff member reported receiving several unwanted and harassing text messages from a student. The student insisted on wanting a date and offended the staff member. The staff member wanted him to lose her number. During the investigation, it became very apparent to the officer that the student did not understand the phase, “Lose my number” after being told not to contact the staff member again. The staff member became alarmed when the student implied he would show at her office to ask her questions. Reported on: 12-13-10, at 8:29 AM. Crime Prevention Tip: There are some males in this world that do not understand the simplest of phrases, like “Lose my number, Don’t call me again, and Let’s just be friends.” Ladies, there are several things you can do, notifying the police is one of those options. We do have the ability to explain to a suspect what the meanings are behind many of the phases that are used to end a relationship. For a broader definition of these phrases, we can take them to jail.
