Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department between Thursday, 01/06/11 and Friday, 01/07/11. JESTER WEST DORMITORY, 201 East 21St Street Criminal Trespass Warning / Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was observed walking around within a restricted area. During the investigation, the subject informed the officers he was looking for a restroom, even though he had walked past one. The subject was taken into custody for Criminal Trespass and was transported to Central Booking after the officer learned the subject had been issued a prior Criminal Trespass Warning. In addition to the law enforcement action taken, the subject was issued another Criminal Trespass Warning. Occurred on: 1-07-11, at 12:20 AM. SAN ANTONIO PARKING GARAGE, 2420 San Antonio Criminal Mischief: A UT Police Officer discovered a light fixture mounted above a panic alarm, located on the 7th level, had been damaged. Loss value: $50.00. Discovered on: 1-07-11, at 12:01 AM. 600 BLOCK COLORADO Assault with Bodily Injury: A UT Police Officer observed a non-UT subject jump towards another non-UT subject and strike him. That strike caused a group of five non-UT males to begin fighting the suspect. During the investigation, the suspect informed the officers that he had no involvement since he was “Too Little”, even though he had bloody knuckles. The suspect was taken into custody for Assault with Bodily Injury and was transported to Central Booking. Occurred on: 1-7-11, at 2:25 AM. 2200 BLOCK GUADALUPE Suspicious Person: A non-UT subject was reportedly having an argument with a steaming cup of Java while walking in the center of a bicycle traffic lane. The officers located the subject and witnessed the one-sided conversation. The subject informed the officers he was simply reading the side of his coffee cup. Occurred on: 1-6-11, at 7:41 AM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 16 Alarm Calls, 1 Collision, 8 Burned Out Lights, and 3 Unsecured Door report between 01/06/11 and 01/07/11.
