Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department between Monday, 02/14/11 and Tuesday, 02/15/11. ENGINEERING TEACHING CENTER, 204 East Dean Keeton Assist Outside Agency / Harassment: The Austin Police Department informed the UT Police a UT staff member was currently being harassed by a former love interest. The non-UT subject had sent the staff member 14 harassing and annoying emails during the course of the day then showed up at her residence. The subject was taken into custody by APD. Reported on: 2-14-11, at 9:09 PM. JESTER WEST DORMITORY, 201 East 21st Street Theft: A black Sony Viao laptop computer was reported stolen from a 3rd floor study area. During the investigation, the officer learned the victim had fallen asleep in a public area with other students studying around her. According to the victim she is a very heavy sleeper and did not hear anyone removing her property. When she woke up to check on her property she discovered her property was gone and the students studying around her were also gone. Loss value: $500.00. Occurred on: 2-14-11, between 6:30 AM and 6:50 AM. JAKE PICKLE RESEARCH CENTER, 10100 Burnet Road Reckless Damage or Destruction: A UT staff member reported a blue Ford Explorer was driving erratically and was colliding into several stationary objects namely street signs and other traffic control devices. During the investigation, the officers were unable to locate the vehicle, however the subject left his calling card behind. The officers discovered the subject had created his own opening and his license plate was embedded into the fence. Occurred on: 2-15-11, at 12:23 AM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 23 Alarm Calls, 3 Unsecured Doors, 1 False 911 Call, between 02/14/11 and 02/15/11.
