Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department between Tuesday, 02/15/11and Wednesday, 02/16/11. CHEMICAL PETROLEUM ENGINEERING BUILDING, 200 East Dean Keeton Theft: A blue Scattante mountain bicycle was reported stolen from the bike racks located on the west side of the building after being secured with a self-locking cable lock. Loss Value: $710.00. Occurred on: 2-15-11, at 5:18 PM. DOTY FINE ARTS, 2301 Trinity Ave Graffiti: A UT staff member discovered letters written in red ink on the southeast corner of the building. During the investigation the officer discovered additional areas of the same style of graffiti inside a second floor men’s restroom. Estimated loss: Unknown at this time. Discovered on: 2-15-11, at 8:10 AM. FRANK DENIUS FIELD, 2400 Block Red River Graffiti: A UT Police Officer discovered a design created in red spray paint on the northwest portion of the building. Estimated Damage: $50.00. Discovered on: 2-15-11, at 7:45 AM. MAIN BUILDING, #1 South Mall Suspicious Person: An unknown subject entered a first floor office and began asking strange and off the wall questions to the receptionist. The subject wanted to know who worked in the different offices on the floor. He then informed the staff member he used to attend UT in the early 1980s. The subject’s demeanor caused the staff member concern and she notified the police department. The unknown subject had left the area prior to the arrival of the officer. The unknown subject was described as an older white male. Occurred on: 2-15-11, at 1:06 PM. SAN JACINTO RESIDENCE HALL, 309 East 21st Street Harassment: A UT student reported a series of events had occurred involving a former boy friend. The student reported discovering a word written on the windshield of her vehicle as well as other words written on the ground beside her vehicle. Reported on: 2-15-11, at 10:08 PM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 23 Alarm Calls, 3 Unsecured Doors, 1 False 911 Call, between 02/14/11 and 02/15/11.
