Campus Watch: Below is a summary of campus activity reported to or observed by the University Police Department between Wednesday, 03/16/11 and Thursday, 03/17/11. ***** ADMINISTRATIVE MESSAGE ***** As you have seen over the last few weeks there has been an increase in the number of Burglary of Motor Vehicles parked all over campus. The UT Police Department would like to remind everyone to hide all of your valuables inside the vehicle. Do not leave GPS mounts in plain view. Common items being taken include loose change inside the ashtray or cup holder. Remove all unnecessary items like loose change from your vehicle. The UT Police Department would like to encourage everyone to report suspicious activity you see near or within the parking lots and parking garages. GREGORY GYM 2101 Speedway Criminal Trespass Warning: UT Police Officers discovered a UT student and a non-UT subject swimming inside, at the time, a clothing optional hot tub. During the investigation, the officers issued both subjects a written Criminal Trespass Warning and escorted them from the area. Irish eyes were not smiling. Occurred on: 3-17-11, at 2:36 AM. STUDENT ACTIVITY CENTER, 2201 Speedway Criminal Mischief: A UT staff member discovered an unknown person had attempted to force a second floor door open. The process had caused the wooden door to split. Estimated damage: $500.00. Discovered on: 3-16-11, at 11:25 AM. CAMPUS WIDE: Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, the University of Texas Police Department responded to 17 Alarm Calls, 2 Call Box Alarms, 1 Fire Alarm, 2 Welfare Concerns, 2 Suspicious Persons Reports, and 2 Unsecured Door Reports between 03/16/11 and 03/17/11.
