MAIN MALL, 200 Block West Inner Campus Drive Theft: A UT student reported a black Fossil wallet containing personal identification, several credit cards and $2.00 in cash was stolen. Crime Prevention Tip: Pick Pocketing is not a new crime, but it is one that we are seeing more of on campus. Especially when there are large crowds like at the Big Boi concert. There is a very simple solution to preventing your pockets from being picked while you are out and about having a good time. This solution is the same one your grandfather and father used, take a rubber band and wrap it around your wallet. The friction it creates will warn you that someone other than the government has their hand in your pocket.
